Description
Our Bench offers three purpose-built accessible self-catering holiday cottages in Lymington, on the edge of the New Forest National Park and close to the Hampshire coast. Little Bench sleeps 2, Bench Cottage sleeps 4 and Garden Bench sleeps 5.
All three cottages are entirely ground floor with step-free access and have an accessible kitchen area, level-access wet room, riser-recliner chair, profiling beds and a ceiling-track hoist over the sleeping area in the master bedroom.
Bench Cottage is particularly suited to guests with more complex access needs, with a separate H-track ceiling hoist and wall-mounted adult changing stretcher in its wet room.
Additional specialist equipment can be reserved at no extra charge, including a mobile hoist, Sara Stedy, stand assist, tilt-in-space shower chair, other shower chairs, commodes and manual wheelchairs.
Garden Bench has two wheelchair-accessible bedrooms and a private enclosed garden. Pet dogs are welcome in Garden Bench by prior arrangement. Assistance dogs are welcome in all three cottages.
Detailed Access Statements, photographs, site maps and videos are available online to help guests decide which cottage will work for their individual needs. Helen and Matt are also happy to discuss access requirements before booking.

Popular family days out include Paultons Park, Longdown Activity Farm and Marwell Zoo, while Portsmouth, Southampton, Salisbury and Bournemouth are all within reach. Ferries from Lymington also make the Isle of Wight a possible day trip.

Our Bench is independently owned and bookings are made directly with us.
A £250 non-refundable deposit secures your booking, with the balance due 8 weeks before arrival. Our full booking terms and conditions are available on our website.
Profiling beds and bedroom ceiling-track hoists are provided as part of the accommodation. Additional specialist equipment can be reserved in advance at no extra charge, subject to availability and suitability.
Guests using our hoists must provide their own compatible sling and ensure the person operating the equipment is appropriately trained.
