I stayed in this villa mid 2006 - and had a truly a marvellous break. The owners were very very friendly and helpful -it felt as if they couldn't do too much to make the holiday as perfect as possible. The views from the small hamlet are spectacular, and the locals very friendly. It was only a short drive to Granada when I wanted to do the 'touristy' thing, but was beautifully secluded and quiet when I wanted to get away from it all. I took my electric wheelchair trike for a run round the olive groves and was blown away by the rural charm and tranquility. The accommodation was great: clean, nicely decorated and furnished, and is perfect for a break with family and friends. The hoist in and out of the pool was a boon and easy to operate, and the ground floor easy to get around. There is a shower seat available on request - which made the adapted shower on the ground floor easy to use. In the evenings, we sat and watched films on the surround sound cinema system and projector, with the stars overhead - which made for some very special evenings. I heartily recommend it, and look forward to visiting again sometime. The only reason I haven't given it 5 stars is that there is a very steep (but also thankfully very short) ramp in the accessible bedroom between the bed and the bathroom and changing area.

Four of us, including one wheelchair user, had a very pleasant week in September 2006. Nigel and his family were friendly and welcoming, and the facilities were excellent: fully accessible, although the ramped change of level in the downstairs bedroom might be difficult for some manual wheelchair users. We hired a car at Malaga airport, which enabled us to visit Granada and travel around the region, but alternatively, we could have taken advantage of transfer and touring options offered by our hosts. There's plenty to see and do around Andalucia. It was a relief to find Cortijo La Loma, which fulfilled all our hopes, and we would certainly consider returning.
