Summary: Our cosy single story cottage offers holiday accommodation to an excellent standard catering for mobility impaired guests. The cottage has been sympathetically converted from the original 18th Century farmhouse and is located within a traditional stone farm steading. Both bedrooms have en-suite facilities designed with mobility impaired guests in mind. The lounge/dining area has large windows which take full advantage of the beautiful views outside. Prices range from £315- £565 per week.

Grindon Farm is a 600 acre hill farm. We have a small flock of Ryeland sheep, donkeys, ponies and hens. Red squirrels inhabit our woods and our rural location attracts a wide range of wildlife. We are 4 miles from our local village of Haydon Bridge and it's shops and inns ,11 miles away from the beautiful Medieval market town of Hexham, and within one hour of the vibrant city of Newcastle-Upon-Tyne. The Old Farmhouse can offer you a perfect get away whether you wish to sit and relax or have an action packed holiday fishing, horse riding, rock climbing or canoeing. We are close to an accessible outward bounds centre. We also have fantastic pubs, restaurants, golf courses and spas all within 30 mins drive. Or if you are interested in historic sites we are 1 mile off Hadrian’s Wall which is a World Heritage Site, parts of which are accessible by wheelchair and these include Housesteads and Vindolanda. You could visit some of Northumberland’s numerous castles and country houses or you could hop on board the traditional South Tynedale railway. You could do a bit of shopping in Corbridge, renound for its gift boutiques or visit the historic market town of Hexham where you can find farmers markets and locally produced seasonal food.
