The second access is from further along the patio into our new specialist en-suite garden-room with electric bed and single sofa bed. Alternative Entrance Living Area Description • Front door faces the inner kitchen door across a spacious hallway, with the lounge door to the right. From the lounge in a direct line via the main and inner hallway is the inner doorway to the garden-room with en-suite wet room. From the inner hallway to left and front are the twin and double bedroom. An extra bed and a large cot-bed are available to adapt either to a family room. Directly opposite these bedrooms is the family bathroom with a specialist step in bath with rise and lower seat. The driveway continues through a wide pair of metal gates to a large flat parking area suitable for two vehicles. A concrete ramp with hand rail accesses the new large rear patio with solid wooden furniture, umbrella, BarBQ and security lighting. Paths with wheelchair access go around the very large garden which has interest all year round Location Distance to nearest Town: 11.5 miles • Just inside the Welsh border, Homefield is but 200 ms from the centre of Grosmont, a quiet historic conservation village with a 12th century castle, one of three close by. In the village centre is the church which has an important large Medieval nave, a pub/restaurant, and general shop/Post Office. Set on the side of the River Monnow in the Golden Valley, close to the Wye Valley, Vale of Usk and the Brecon Beacons. Our location is equidistant from Hereford, the city whose cathedral holds the Mappa Mundi and the Chained Library, Abergavenny the market town and Gateway to Wales and the historic county town of Monmouth with its covered bridge. From the patio and garden there are views of the castle, Garway Hill in England with history of the Knights Templar and of Ysgyryd Fawr, the Skirrid or Holy Mountain in Wales. The Abbeys of Tintern, Llantony and Dore, the Black & White trail, Hay the book town, Ross-on Wye, Symonds Yat, Forest of Dean and the Mon-Brecon canal are all close by. We can offer qualified care assistance at reasonable rates subject to availability. We supply a welcome pack of essentials, milk, homemade bread, welsh-cakes, jam and eggs, all linen, towels and soaps. We can collect shopping prior to your arrival and during your stay if required. Guests are able to purchase (for charity) our own organically produced eggs, fruit and vegetables in season plus homemade preserves. An extensive list of DVDs is provided which can be borrowed for a small donation. Extensive information on places of interest and accessible locations is provided. Own transport is highly recommended, but otherwise some outings can be arranged in advance subject to availability. A few miles away are the renowned restaurants of The Walnut Tree and The Bell at Skenfrith. Many festivals take place in the proximity, particularly at Hay and the Abergavenny Food Fest.
