• Outside, the level gardens are very accessible to the wheelchair user with a path surrounding the entire house.This also leads to the secluded and shady BBQ area, cactus garden and extensive terracing around the private pool with shallow Roman entry steps. Parking is right at the front door with immediate access to the whole property.

• Altea is one of the loveliest villages on the coast of Spain - surrounded by sea and mountains and recognised as having one of the healthiest climates in Europe. The beautiful area around Albir and Altea is chosen by many Northern Europeans who over winter here, being perfect for all year round holidays with a continental atmosphere. The well known palm lined walkways along the beaches and waterfront are now (very importantly for our guests!) designated “WHEELCHAIR FRIENDLY” by the local Spanish community.

• Though peacefully situated and far enough to feel “away from it all” the villa is convenient for all facilities and just 45 mins. drive north of Alicante airport. A great selection of coffee shops and local restaurants serving reasonably priced “menu of the day” can be found where you will be made welcome and can still enjoy a meal by the sea for £6 including wine. Closer to Benidorm, 10/15 mins drive from the villa, are 2 fabulous golf courses, also the nearby theme parks of Terra Natura, Terra Mitica, the Water Parks and a Dolphinarium, all disabled friendly, providing alternative entertainment for the family. The backdrop of the Sierra Bernia range entices you up to the mountains to enjoy the wonderful scenic drives and to experience traditional family run restaurants serving great Spanish fare. Flexible services for airport transfers in adapted vehicle available / local adapted taxi on call. Airport car rental/ car delivered to the villa.
