• Originally a fishing village Puerto Pollensa retains the time old tradition of the evening paseo or stroll. On warm, balmy evenings everyone wanders up and down between the marina where the yachts are moored, past the pavement cafes and along the famous Pine Walk. With it's beautiful old properties and under the shade of the trees, the Pine Walk leads into the heart of Puerto Pollensa. Along the way there are several restaurants and bars, and the impressive views of the bay and the mountains can be enjoyed. The beaches on the Pine Walk enjoy the shade of the trees and provide the perfect spot for spending the day on the beach.

• There are other places than Puerto Pollensa to visit in the surrounding area. Pollensa Town is a lovely inland Medievel town with a lively market on Sundays. There you can see the Calvario steps or the Roman Bridge, amongst other sights. There is another very attractive resort that could make for a pleasant outing - Cala san Vicente has three separate bays. Alcudia Town (former Roman capital of Majorca, known as Pollentia) is a very interesting place to visit - take a tour of the Roman ruins. And, of course, there is the city of Palma. With beautiful architecture there is plenty to do - brilliant shopping, art gallery, Cathedral and Castle.
