= Newlands - the Best!

All ground floor areas are easily accessible with no steps and wide doors. We stayed in one of the Garden Rooms; the room was large – a 6 foot wide bed, bedside tables, two comfortable chairs, a chest of drawers, built-in wardrobes, a colour t.v. and a cupboard with tea and coffee making facilities. The ensuite shower room was spacious and immaculate, well laid out with plenty of handrails. The Breakfast Room is easily accessible, you can eat in your room, or in the garden if you prefer. The accessible Swimming Pool looks inviting and is in a pleasant room with a relaxing area. Newlands is situated a short distance from Southwold ; a pleasant resort with a number of nice shops, pubs and restaurants. Places we visited with good access included; Red Lion Southwold, Minsmere, Suffolk Owl Sanctuary and Leiston Long Shop I can thoroughly recommend a visit to Newlands.

We've just spent a brilliant, relaxed bank holiday weekend at Newlands. What a pleasure! We had one of the garden rooms, which was spacious, beautifully clean, and very importantly for us - we could control the temperature of the room ourselves. The bed was huge, Chris loved that (and took most of it!), and very comfortable. We had tea/coffee making facilities in the room, and the supply of tea and coffee etc was very generous. I loved the way everything was tucked away inside a split level cupboard. The wardrobe space is more than ample, there was a chest of drawers, with everything at easy access height. Everything in there is well planned. The wet room bathroom was a good size and always spotlessly clean! They provide use of a washing line to dry your towels. Perfect! Nothing is too much trouble for David and Penny, they'll let you know which places are or aren't accessible. Southwold is good for accessibility, enhanced by the accommodation at Newlands!
