There are Slate caverns, copper mines, gold mines, walking, climbing, orienteering, sailing, wind surfing, swimming, narrow gauge railways, horse riding, mountain biking, fishing, museums, castles, stately homes, gardens and much much more!

  • Glan-y-Borth is situated on the banks of the River Conwy which is full of salmon and trout (fishing licence available from local paper shop). Across the river is one of Llanrwst\'s main attractions - the Gwydir Castle. Llanwrst is a market town with many good shops, amenities and with superb pubs and restaurants, e.g. Henaelwyd Cafe, The Meadow Suite, Picwicks, Pen-y-Bont at Llanrwst. The Fairy Falls and Princess Arms at Trefriw. The Lodge at Tal-y-Bont, Royal Oak Hotel, the Waterloo at Betws-y-Coed. It is central for many of the easily accessible beauty spots of North Wales and within a short car journey to the beaches of Llandudno and Conwy.
