Review

We have stayed at this villa for 3 years on the trot and can't speak too highly of it. The facilities, condition, housekeeping, locality and accessibility are top notch. Close to Lagos - without doubt the nicest town in the Algarve - and in a village with good shops and restaurants it is in a great location about an hour's drive from Faro. Alvor is close by and has good accessible beaches for those who want to brave the sea and a little further away are Praia de Luz and Salema which also have good accessible beaches. Worth noting for first timers to Portugal is that the whole country is well geared up for disabled access and the people are really helpful and accomodating. What's not to like?

= Relaxing summer at the Villa

Thank you very much for sharing your amazing villa with us. It was a very sad day yesterday when we left. We are having a week in Sagres to ease ourselves back into the real world. Ann was an amazing facilitor and smoothed the minor hiccups that will inevitably occur in any holiday. A fact that I did not tell you is that I have been a Physioterapist for the past twenty five years, therefore subconsciously appraised your disabled facilities and found them excellent. The hydrualic hoist was absolutely excellent. I have used both electric and your type in the past. I have been stuck in mid air with the electric type but the hydraulic will get you home safely. The comode, shower chair was also excellent. If in the future you may wish me to draft some guide lines for using the hoist I would be very pleased to do so. I loved Vernon's walk. One morning I deviated from it and found a local English campsite that Sandra and I will probably stay in during the winter. This was our 40th  wedding anniversary holiday and it exceeded all expectations. Thank you once again.

We stayed here for a fortnight in in June 2012. The house is very spacious with air con throughout and good access for wheelchair from bedroom to bathroom and out on to the terrace and poolside. The pool hoist is a brilliant facility which we used two or three times per day - a luxury we are not used to at other houses we have rented. The accessible beach at Alvor is nearby (15 minutes drive) where help is available to assist wheelchair users into the sea using a "launch trolley". The pool was the principal attraction for Nicola and we found it to be comfortably warm throughout the fortnight. Big supermarket shopping is ten minutes away and local shops in the village are also good. Access to internet via wifi is a useful feature of this house. We will be booking again for 2013.

Review

We stayed in June 2012 for a week. There were 5 adults & one 3 year old. The house was very accessible & I was able to use my scooter around the house. There was a hoist to get me in & out of the pool which was installed earlier in the year. The villa was close to the supermarket & close to the beaches. I only went out 1 day to see some friends, the rest of the time I was happy to sit round the pool.There was a gazebo by the pool to shelter the child during the day. The wet room was very accessible. We will go again in future.
