The Castle Arms Hotel

Thurso

Summary: Situated in the hamlet of Mey, Inverness with Castle Mey visible from the hotel. 1 room with a level access shower and toilet.

The hotel is very well situated for people going to John O'Groats or as a stopover when catching the ferry to the Orkneys. The village is steeped in history, Castle Mey (which was one of the late Queen Mother's residences) is periodically open to the public. There is disabled parking to the left side of hotel. The wheelchair access to reception is at the opposite end of the hotel, I would call them to open the door prior to arrival as presently there is no bell. Management are very friendly and welcoming. The room is a twin with a level access shower and toilet. There is no shower chair available. If required, accessatlast will endeavour to source living accessories, such as hoists and self propelling shower chairs, providing sufficient notice is given.
